📁 A Tate Christmas

Client: Tate Anzur

Work: Art Direction, Graphic Design, Print Design

Year: 2021

As part of the festive gifting tradition in Tate Anzur, the Creative Team was commissioned to create a set of festive postcards which were sent out to our clients to celebrate the season. The team was given the liberty to come up with our own interpretation of "sending well-wishes for the new year" in our own personal style and colours. I was also tasked to create a greeting card to accompany the postcard set.

Good things are coming is my personal interpretation of the theme. Inspired by the genuine desire of a child hoping to get the toy they wished for from the Gacha Machine, I filled up my version of the toy-vending machine with the different items that make me happy and look forward to in the new year. This little art here also hope to serve as a gentle reminder to everyone to not lose heart and stay hopeful because I believe good things are coming your way!

📁 Chinese Singaporean Cultural Hub

Work: Art Direction, Print Design, Spatial Design

Year: 2023

The Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC) collaborates with arts and cultural groups and community partners to promote and develop local Chinese culture. Through engaging and accessible content, SCCC hopes to nurture greater appreciation of our multi-cultural identity and a stronger sense of belonging. Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO) is Singapore's only professional Chinese orchestra. Inaugurated in 1997, the 85-musician orchestra took on the twin role of preserving traditional arts and culture and establishing new frontiers through the incorporation of Nanyang music elements in its repertoire.

As part of a joint commission by SCCC and SCO to raise awareness of a Chinese Singaporean Cultural Hub, Tate Anzur was engaged to create displays within Shenton Way MRT station. As the Art Director and Creative Lead of the project, I led the conceptualisation and saw through the design of an interactive display inviting commuters on a journey to discover Singaporean Chinese culture. Taking reference from the traditional game Aeroplane Chess (飞行棋), these engaging displays offer a glimpse into the vibrant culture of Singapore’s financial district, bringing smiles and fun to commuters.
