The Singapore Chinese Film Festival (SCFF), co-organised by the Centre for Chinese Studies @ SUSS and the Singapore Film Society, is an annual celebration of Chinese cinema held from late April to early May. As one of Singapore’s few dedicated Chinese film festivals, it showcases critically acclaimed works from diverse regions and offers audiences a unique platform to engage with filmmakers.

For its 13th edition, SCFF2025 continues the visual identity introduced last year, retaining the lion as the festival’s emblematic symbol. This year’s concept draws inspiration from the symbolic bond between a father lion and a baby lion, representing the transmission of wisdom, values, and stories from one generation to the next. This design pays tribute to the festival’s legacy as it enters its 13th edition – a meaningful milestone marking the start of a new cycle. The imagery of the father and cub reflects the inheritance of traditions and storytelling, mirroring the themes explored in this year’s films: family, growth, and the enduring connections that transcend time.
