J Surfhouse is a cosy boutique guesthouse nestled in Hengchun, a small surftown, at Taiwan’s southern tip. Owned by a passionate surf instructor, the space reflects his laid-back spirit and love for the ocean. To enhance the guest experience, a custom map was created as a curated collection of his personal favourites – hidden gems, local eats, and must-visit spots– designed to guide guests through the best of Hengchun during their stay.

The creative vision behind this piece was to craft a personalised pocket guide that feels warm, inviting, and memorable – like a thoughtful gesture from the host himself. It’s more than just a map; it’s a friendly companion that guests can carry along, offering an authentic and welcoming introduction to the town through the eyes of someone who truly knows and loves it.
